Archives for personal property insurance

That’s it. We’re all ears.

Hopefully you’ve already seen that from reducing down payments to adding coverages, iMGA is laser-focused on making it as easy as humanly possible to quote Texas Mobilehome, TDP1, TDP3 and HOA/HOA+, so you know that we’ll take your responses seriously. Just post a comment with your answer and we’ll see what we can do.

More information is released daily on social media in general and social media in insurance specifically every day. The day after our last post about the topic large research firm Celent announced the results of their study on the topic, titled Leveraging Social Networks: An In-Depth View for Insurers.

In that report they note that nine of the top 10 of the top 10 P&C U.S. insurers have at least one Twitter account, and eight have at least one Facebook page.

Also noted is that in March 2010 Facebook received more visits than Google for the first time.

So, in short, social media is big, getting bigger, and being supported by major insurers. If you, as an insurance agent, haven’t started already, why not?

Handling money can be fun if it’s for investing – or shopping 🙂

But handling insureds’ payments needs to be as easy and as fast as possible.

At iMGA we’re happy to help make that happen for you.

Online Payments

Your insureds can make online payments by going to https://imga.biz/services and clicking on the Make a Payment link. It’ll take them directly to the https://payonline.saindemnity.com site. All they’ll need to make a payment is their:

  • Policy number,
  • Mailing address zip code,
  • Checking account number, and
  • Bank routing number.

The payment will be credited to their account the same day as long as it’s made before 9pm CST, and will be reflected on their account within an hour or less.

You may post payments to customers accounts on their behalf via the same links, or, instead, by selecting “Make a Payment” from the drop-down list under the “Actions” button on the “Policy Manager” tab at https://imga.biz.

Mail Payments

Insureds or mortgagees who wish to mail a paper check instead should direct their payments to San Antonio Indemnity at the address on the policy invoices and NOT to iMGA’s offices. The payment address for your records is:

San Antonio Indemnity Company
PO Box 34104
San Antonio, TX 78265

At iMGA we’re working to make Texas Personal Property as EASY as possible. If you have any questions about any of the above, or any suggestions on how we can make things even easier, please let us know.

Today is April Fool’s Day, but we’re not kidding about this at all.

iMGA has been approved by Lloyds of London to offer a new set of Texas Personal Property products!

These products will allow us to provide you with A-rated coverage for a very wide range of risks, and we’ll keep you posted as those details become available over the next few weeks.

In the meantime, we are very excited about the agents who are taking advantage of the San Antonio Indemnity products we already offer. Some of the highlights other agents have been most pleased with include:

  • Unsupported seasonal and secondary dwellings
  • Unprotected dwellings
  • Multiple rental dwellings on one policy
  • Replacement cost on Mobile Homes and their contents
  • Increased contents and adjacent structure limits for Mobile Homes
  • Lower down payments

Best yet, once agents quote iMGA’s HOA, TDP1/TDP3 and MobileHome products they’re so excited about the ease of use (ultra-fast quotes, instant policy issuance, online payments, great payment options, online document access), they keep coming back. We hope you’ll give us a try and that you’re as pleased as other agents have been with our focus on making Texas Personal Property as easy as humanly possible.

It’s St. Patrick’s Day, but you don’t need the Luck of the Irish to increase your agency’s sales.

Just use iMGA’s easy web site to quote all your Homeowner’s, MobileHome and Dwelling policies!

Take a look at just some of what’s at the pot of gold at the end of the iMGA rainbow:

  • Dwellings up to $300k (PC 1-9) or up to $100k (PC10).
  • MobileHomes up to $75k with personal property coverage up to 200% of dwelling amount (subject to $125k total max)
  • Replacement cost dwelling coverage available (subject to restrictions) on MobileHomes, TDP3 and HOA.
  • Coverage available on dwellings with dogs (except for certain breeds), pools (as long as fenced and no slide/diving board) and trampolines (as long fenced and netted).
  • And much more!

You don’t have to wear green to get all this, either. In fact, you can get it every day, not just St. Patrick’s Day. Just go to iMGA.biz and watch your green grow!

At iMGA we’re listening to our agents, and we’re acting on the great input we’re getting.

Those ideas have resulted in lower down payments, easier quoting, more clear underwriting guidelines, higher limits for mobile homes and an easier referral process. And many more improvements are already on the way.

We’re constantly working to make things better, because at iMGA we’re focused on becoming the best MobileHome, TDP1/TDP3, HOA/HOA Plus and Vacant Dwelling market available. So, please, quote one with us now.

As always, we look forward to hearing your ideas of how we can improve even more. Please share them here. Because we know that NOT listening can be very dangerous.

The weather today here in Austin was crazy! The snow flurries were scary enough to shut down the schools – which means, of course, about half an inch total. 🙂

We haven’t let that slow us down on improving our Texas Personal Property products for you, though, and today our focus has been on Mobile Homes.

If you write any Mobile Homes we’re certain you’ll appreciate the following changes:

  1. Permanently attached room additions can now be included in the mobile home dwelling limit.
  2. The maximum home limit has been increased to $75,000.
  3. Personal effects can be covered up to 200% of the home limit.
  4. Adjacent structures (awnings, shelters, cabanas, porches, etc.) can now be covered up to 200% of the home limit.
  5. The maximum total limit (home plus personal effects plus adjacent structures) has been increased to $125,000.
  6. You can now add Replacement Cost coverage for both the dwelling and the contents.

Mobile Homes, depending on their characteristics, can be written on either a Mobile Home form, a TDP1 or a TDP3. Start all your quotes using the StartAllQuotesHere option and you won’t have to remember which program each risk qualifies for – the system will handle that automatically.

We’re constantly working to make things better, because at iMGA we’re focused on becoming the best MobileHome, TDP1/TDP3, HOA/HOA Plus and Vacant Dwelling market available. So, please, quote one with us now, with or without snow!

As always, we look forward to hearing your ideas of how we can improve even more. Please share them here.

We’re so honored to be doing business with you!

iMGA has been handling the servicing of the former Quirk & Company standard personal lines products (MobileHome, TDP1, TDP3, HOA, HOA+ and Vacant Dwelling) since February 1.

We’ve had the pleasure of speaking to many of the great agents that worked with Quirk & Company over the years, and visiting many, but we haven’t made it out to everyone yet (and didn’t get to see everyone in those agencies we have been able to visit), so we’d like to take this opportunity to address some of the questions that have come up in the meantime.

Who is iMGA?

We are a team of Texas-born and/or Texas-raised long-time insurance veterans. We are a new MGA, started last year, but our team has decades of experience and relationships in the industry and in Texas. You can read more about our people here if you’d like.

Our objective is to be the specialty MGA of choice in our chosen programs for retail producers because we are the easiest to interact with; while providing the best products and customer service in the marketplace, delivered by people who are having fun doing their jobs. While we have a bunch of insurance experience, we’re not a stuffy insurance company.  Heck, that is why we started iMGA, to escape that bureaucracy.  We’re real people having fun providing great products through fantastic agents.

What is iMGA’s relationship with Quirk?

Our relationship with the Quirk Group is a long and rich one that literally goes back generations. Among other things Bob Quirk is an officer of iMGA and board member of its parent. iMGA purchased the right to service the Texas Personal Property insurance products that were formerly handled by Quirk & Company, and those products are still being underwritten by San Antonio Indemnity Company, a member of Quirk Group, rated B++ by A.M. Best & Co.

What kind of a market will iMGA be for our agency?

Long term we intend to offer a few very targeted programs. In the near term, though, we are completely focused on Texas Personal Property. That means our relationship with you on the MobileHome, TDP1, TDP3, HOA, HOA+ and Vacant Dwelling products is the most important thing to us. This is why we have worked to make our system as easy as possible and are incorporating your suggestions for improvement as fast as we possibly can. One huge improvement – the reduction of the minimum down payment to 15% plus the policy fee – was implemented earlier this week as a direct result of agent suggestions. Please add more suggestions as you think of them!

So, “Howdy”! We’re very pleased to meet you, and can’t wait to get to know you better, If your agency hasn’t already contracted formally with us, please have the appropriate person complete the new agent signup form so we can, among other things, make sure your commission payments are deposited correctly. 🙂

Please don’t hesitate to call or email if you have any questions at all!

Mardi Gras is a time for celebration and revelry, and at iMGA we’re doing much more than just joining in a parade.

We’re celebrating Fat Tuesday by giving everyone a “skinnier” down payment!

The minimum down payment on our TDP1/TDP3, HOA/HOA+ and MobileHome policies has been reduced to 15% + policy fee from 25% + policy fee!

So log in and quote our new lower-down offerings. We think you’ll like what you see. If you haven’t logged in to the iMGA web site before, enter your email address in the username field on the “forgot password” page and we’ll email you a temporary password so you can get started right away.

As always, if you have any suggestions or comments, we’d love for you to share them with us. This lower down payment was an idea submitted by an agent. Who knows – yours may be the next great idea we run with!

Effective today we have assumed responsibility for servicing the TDP1/TDP3/HOA and Mobile Home products underwritten by San Antonio Indemnity Company.

We are very excited about the opportunity to build a successful long-term partnership with the great Texas agents that have produced this business!
