Water Damage Photo

Water damage from a second floor overflow.

As insurance professionals we’re honored to be able to be there when tragedy strikes. Fire, lightning, explosions, tornados, hurricanes – when these unexpected events wreak havoc it’s our privilege to help restore people’s homes and possessions.

But we know that even with insurance everyone would be better off if they’d never had the claim. So we definitely want to help our clients avoid any unnecessary losses.

The one type of loss we’ve seen that can most easily be avoided is water damage.

The majority of water damage is caused by overflow from dishwashers and washing machines, and those overflows almost always happen when people leave those appliances running while they’re gone or asleep.

So instead of a minor annoyance easily handled by a mop and a very little bit of time, they end up with major damage, the cost of a deductible and the inconvenience of major repairs.

Help your clients avoid all this unnecessary pain – encourage them to only run dishwashers and washing machines when they’re home and awake. They’ll appreciate your thoughtfulness.

iMGA is represented by high-quality independent insurance agents. If you’re a Texas insurance agent looking for an easy-to-use personal property insurance market, tell us more about yourself.

It’s not easy making things simple, but at iMGA we’re constantly working on ways to make quoting, issuing and managing policies as simple and easy as possible.

We’re thrilled to announce that our claims process is now simpler than ever.

As of now ANY iMGA claim may be reported directly to Mission Claims by using the form at imga.biz/services.

Not only will you be able to report all claims moving forward to Mission, they will also be your sole source of claim information. So claims reporting and management will both be easier moving forward!

If you’re an agent who doesn’t already work with us and you’d appreciate a market focused on making your life as easy as possible, let us know.

Insurance is a promise – a promise to pay for covered damage exactly as specified in the policy.

At the end of the day all we have is that promise. If we don’t make good on it, then we really don’t have anything to offer.

Since we’ve been in the insurance business for decades, we’ve seen people try to take shortcuts with claims. Those people were incredibly short-sighted. It ALWAYS comes back to bite them in the end – as it should.

At iMGA we take proper claims handling seriously, as do our carriers. Our claims are handled by two highly respected third party administrator firms, and the presidents of those firms serve on our Board of Directors. This gives us a direct line to their top management (should it ever become necessary), but also reflects our commitment to proper claims handling.

As an agent your reputation is also on the line when an insured has a claim. With iMGA you can be confident that we give claims handling the proper weight and attention to keep your reputation secure.

At iMGA we realize that the true value of insurance coverage shows through during the claims process. We have a new dedicated claims phone number and email address to help make the process as EASY as possible for you and for our customers:

New Claims Phone Number: 877-640-6145
New Claims Email Address: claims @ saindemnity . com

All of our contact information is in the attached file, which can also be found at any time by logging in to iMGA.biz and clicking on the iMGA Contact List link at the top of the center of the page.

As always, if you have any questions about any of our products, please call Tony at 512.494.4161 extension 12 or Mike at extension 13 and they’ll be glad to help you.

Anyone who’s done business in Texas property for very long knows it’s that time of year again. So while we hope it’s a long time before you need to know how to report a claim on iMGA policies, we know the need may come up sooner rather than later.

Just in case, here’s how it works.

If you’re logged in, click on the “Report a Claim” link at the right of the screen.

If you’re not logged in or if you want the insured to report the claim directly, click on the “Services” tab at the top of any page on the iMGA web site and then click on the “Report a Claim” link in the middle of the page.

Either one will pull up an online-fillable version of the Acord Property Loss Notice. Mission Claims has added logic to the form so that after it’s completed you or the insured can simply click “Submit Form” and the form will be emailed to the proper address (claims@missionclaims.com). If that doesn’t work for any reason you can simply save the form and email it to the same address. If you or your customers have any questions about Mission Claims, please feel free to visit their web site.

That’s all there is to it! Like quoting new business – and everything else – we’ve worked to make reporting a claim as easy as possible. If you haven’t already, please quote a policy today and let us know what you think.
