Archives for liability coverage

Apartments with a poolGraduation is here! That means it’s time for students to move – and lots of new renters will be entering the market.

But while their graduation shows they’ve learned a lot, a recent survey proves most people know very little about Renters insurance.

For example, six of 10 U.S. adults who rent a house or apartment don’t have renter’s insurance, and of those uninsured:

  • 57% think they don’t need it because their apartment has decent security,
  • 48% believe their landlord’s insurance will cover their belongings, and
  • 21% assumed it would cost $1,000 or more each year.

Agents can make the difference here. Educate your clients on the availability, need and affordability of Renters insurance. With policies averaging under $200 per year and coverage options like:

  • Replacement Cost on Contents,
  • Contents Coverage Limits up to $50,000,
  • Liability Coverage Limits up to $300,000,
  • Medical Payments Limits up to $2,000, and
  • Theft Coverage

There really is no reason for your clients to be caught unprotected.

Improved Quoting LayoutWe’ve completely redesigned our system to make it even faster and easier for you to quote and issue policies.

We’ve also made important product improvements. The most significant of those is that we can now write homeowners policies on dwellings situated on up to 300 acres – that’s right – as part of our farm and ranch coverage options we can now go up to three hundred acres.

Other iMGA farm and ranch options include coverage for:

  • Tractors, ATVs and other mechanized farm equipment
  • Farm and Ranch Liability
  • Animal Collision Coverage
  • Additional buildings

So quote us today – on a farm and ranch, homeowners, rental dwelling, vacant or renter’s policy – quoting and issuing is easier than ever before!

When we first rolled out our Renters Policy earlier this year, we made it fairly basic by offering personal property coverage limits up to $50K ACV, liability coverage of $100K and medical payments of $1K. The perils covered by this policy include: fire, lightning, smoke, windstorm, hurricane, hail, explosion, aircraft, vehicles, riot, vandalism and theft.

While it was a good starting point, agents now need more liability coverage in order to meet the demands of clients and apartment complexes throughout the state, so we have added liability optional limits of $200,000 and $300,000 as well as medical payments limits of $2,000.

For those of you that told us this is what you needed, here you go! We hope the rest of our agents find these enhancements useful in closing more renters policies.
