Great Homeowners Coverage Choices for Texans

iMGA's Homeowners products are designed specifically for Texas by Texans, and include a wide range of coverage options.

HOA

The Texas HOA form offers basic coverage for specific named perils (such as fire, wind, hail and lightning) without replacement cost. The HOA is best suited to older or lower value homes that are still well-maintained but whose owners could more easily and affordably purchase a replacement home than rebuild should a severe loss occur.

HOB

The Texas HOB form offers broad coverage for any cause of loss that is not specifically excluded (exclusions include things like war and intentional acts of the insured). HOB policies provide replacement cost of the dwelling and contents automatically unless that coverage is reduced or excluded for some particular reason (such as an extremely old roof).

HOA+

The term "HOA plus" or "HOA+" is used to discuss policies that offer more coverage than a basic HOA but less than an HOB. Generally speaking these include replacement cost coverage on the dwelling and contents and some additional covered peril (such as sudden and accidental water damage). Each company that offers an HOA+ option does so on an individual basis, so it's very important to compare specifics on an HOA+ quote. Ask your agent for details before deciding which one is best for you.

As with any insurance product, you should read your policy and any endorsements carefully to make sure you understand what is and is not covered. A great insurance agent can help with any questions about your specific situation.
